The Secret

As each week goes by I hear of and meet more and more people interested in The Secret. In some circles of people it has almost become household word. Needless to say, The Secret is proving to be  an  extraordinarily popular movie and is reaching a relatively wide audience of keen viewers.

Quite a few people have recently asked me why I am writing a book about The Secret. Actually, this is not a book about The Secret (which is simply a movie) but rather this is a book about The Law of Attraction. More than that, it is a book about how a person can approach reality in such a way that trying to consciously manipulate or control the Law of Attraction becomes unnecessary. You see, in my experience, it is only the human ego that would try to consciously control the way in which the Law of Attraction is operating through that particular individual. What many people eventually realise, after trying to make the Law of Attraction go in their favour, is that it was always working in their favour–they just didn’t consciously realise what was in their best interests beyond the wants and desires of their ego identity.

Many people discover that the experience of wanting something arises through the perceptual projection of that same thing arising from their being and pushing its way through that person into the external world. Because most people are identify more with the material world than they do with the metaphysical/spiritual reality underlying this world, they only notice their creative expression coming into being from a materialistic/external perspective. The end result is that they become fixated on wanting stuff “out there in the world” rather than creatively expressing that which is coming through them into the world.

It’s a question of whether I think I am attracting things to me, or creating things through me.

Another key point some people eventually discover–if they remain keenly aware of the workings of their human mind and emotions–is that the satisfaction of obtaining something they want does not come from the obtaining of it and the possession of that thing, but rather it comes through no longer feeling the pressure of craving or wanting the thing they now have and no longer feeling their aversion to the absence of this thing in their life. To truly recognize this can be a rather significant event.

It is points such as these, and many more topics, I shall be discussing in Living Beyond the Secret. If you have any comments or questions please feel free to ask them here in this blog.

With love,

Jonathan
